Marye Anne Fox
Chemist and former UT Austin faculty member Fox was the University’s Vice President for Research in the 1990s before going on to be Chancellor for North Carolina State University and later the University of California San Diego. A researcher in organic photochemistry and electrochemistry, educator, and prolific author, she is a recipient of the National Medal of Science, a member of the National Academy of Sciences and former president of Sigma Xi, the scientific research society.
