Elaine Li & Xiuling Li
Elaine Li, the Jack S. Josey Welch Foundation Chair in Science, and Xiuling Li, Temple Foundation Endowed Professor, serve as co-directors of UT’s Texas Quantum Institute. An experimentalist, Elaine Li’s research focuses on studies of the quantum dynamics of electrons, helping determine how to control material properties at the level of electrons to advance quantum information science and technologies. She is the winner of numerous awards, including the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and the Peter O’Donnell Award. Xiuling Li conducts research focused on nanostructured semiconductor materials and devices and was inducted into the National Academy of Inventors.
